The House of Praxithea for 6

Welcome to the House of Praxithea!

According to Greek mythology, Praxithea was the wife of King Erechtheus, the ancient founder of historic Athens. Praxithea is also the name of the original owner of this home — and today, it belongs to her daughter Ioanna, a professional photographer, and is hosted by Filos Concierge. This is a home in the heart of the city that has always been open to friends from all over the world — and now it awaits you to make it your own.

Our spacious and recently renovated apartment is the ideal base for your visit to this vibrant city. Its Boho-style décor, combined with stunning photography by the internationally acclaimed artist Ioanna Katsimpra, creates an elegant and welcoming atmosphere — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Athens.

The living and dining area offers ample space to unwind and enjoy a meal, while the two bedrooms provide a quiet and comfortable night’s sleep. The modern bathroom has everything you need to refresh and prepare for your day. One of the apartment’s most impressive features is its large balcony, ideal for enjoying your coffee or evening drink overlooking the lush green garden. You’ll also have full access to high Speed Wi-Fi and three TVs. We’re sure you’ll fall in love with both our apartment and the charming neighborhood around it.

Book your stay today and enjoy an unforgettable experience in the heart of Athens!

Our location is exceptionally convenient — close to the city center, the Acropolis, and all major attractions of the capital. The apartment is just one minute on foot from Petralona Metro Station (Athens Metro Line 1), only one stop away from the historic center, with easy connection to the airport line. The area is also served by Trolley 15 and Bus 227.

If you enjoy walking, in just 20 minutes you can have your coffee in the heart of the Ancient Agora, overlooking the Temple of Hephaestus and the Stoa of Attalos. For cyclists, there’s a dedicated bike path next to the station that connects the historic center to the Stavros Niarchos Cultural Center and the Athenian Riviera.

Petralona is a unique neighborhood that still retains its sense of community. Walking through its streets, you’ll discover how beautifully the past and present intertwine. The impressive stone houses, the historic open-air Zephyros Cinema, the Dexameni Hill, and the landmark workers’ residence opposite Filopappou Hill all carry stories from old Athens within a truly urban setting that still knows how to live.

Here you’ll find all-day cafés with a laid-back atmosphere, serving excellent coffee, refreshing drinks, and delicious snacks. Food here brings people together — families, friends, and neighbors. In the evenings, the tavernas and ouzeris fill with locals who all seem to know each other, sharing warmth, conversation, and great food in a true Athenian neighborhood spirit.

Petralona is a living, breathing part of the city — and it’s waiting for you to discover it!
